A REAL TASTE OF GREECE BY THE OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER OF SPETSES CLASSIC YACHT RACE 2013
From June 13-16 the Greek island of Spetses showcased its cosmopolitan side, as the Spetses Classic Yacht Race drew international sailing interest, placing the picturesque island at the centre of attention. Folli Follie, as the Official Timekeeper of the Spetses Classic Yacht Race 2013, witnessed every second of the breathtaking race and presented the limited edition Regatta watch promoting the true spirit of an adventurous summer.
The limited edition, numerated Regatta watch by Folli Follie became the must-have memoir of the race for many of the crews and the fans that came to Spetses to watch the race. Some had the chance to select their lucky number from the 200 limited edition watches, wearing their “lucky charm” throughout the race. Part of the proceeds from the watch sales supported the causes of the Spetses Classic Yacht Race 2013 and were donated for the restoration of the rowing boats of the Anargirion and Korgialenion School.
In the context of the Folli Follie sponsorship, the lifestyle accessory brand invited a big media delegation from China in a wider effort to promote the modern face of Greece to China. Folli Follie invited representatives of big Chinese TV networks and lifestyle magazines that visited Greece to cover the Classic Yacht Race in Spetses. Through a meeting with the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefaloyianni and through a targeted itinerary in Athens and Spetses the culture and all modern aspects of Greece, the glamour of the Greek seas and the beauty of the small island traveled to China thanks to the initiative of Folli Follie.
